MLS Professional Services
our ideas are nebulous
Here at MLS Pro, we don’t do narrow or linear thinking. We embrace paradoxes and complexities using sophisticated frameworks and concepts that can be used to contextualise problems identified at neighbourhood level or at the global scale. Our work encourages the deep exploration of interconnected issues that enables the autonomy of thought, and subsequent generation of creative ideas and approaches to possible solutions.
In addition to our unique style of consulting, our highly engaging and participatory programs have been specially developed to be delivered in schools, colleges and to other education providers, to Local Authorities, at corporate training events, in the public realm, and even in Parliament.
Our work broadly covers five high profile areas which we believe to be not only interconnected with one another, but also globally relevant, and so we have developed the following workshops which will be delivered from Spring 2024:
An Introduction to the Concept of Ethical Economies
This will involve an overview of the main models and frameworks we use in our work, which includes Doughnut Economics, Circular Economy and Wellbeing Economy
The Future of Work
The framing we use encourages discussion around what near-future jobs might look like given the global issues we are facing now
J:EDI
This is Diversity, Equity and Inclusion with the element that is so often missing from this work - Justice. This workshop has a strong focus on disabilities, which tends to be overlooked in DEI, and other often-excluded or minimised marginal identities
Ethical Places
We focus on issues of Spatial Justice and Land Democracy in the framing of place-based issues
Systems Thinking
This workshop teaches techniques to break out of silos, to think in a more interconnected way, and use holistic approaches towards systemic issues.
