“first, do no harm”
- Hippocrates
a new human mythology
We have now reached the “tipping points” and “turning points” arising from complex, compounding human activity, resulting in ongoing geopolitical instability, climate breakdown and social unrest.
However, none of this is inevitable. There are infinite ways we can organise how we live on this planet.
Our entanglements require as much individual internal reckoning as they do collective action, and some thought leaders are using the theory and practice of Systems Change in their approaches towards social and planetary stability and justice.

We are in the 4th Industrial Revolution, and yet the path to the future remains obscure. The limitations of mapping a clear future are presented by the systems we currently use, which were developed for (and by) antecedent revolutions, that have worked to continually separate humans from nature; a practice that has fuelled the expansion of the global economy.
Humans ARE nature.
Complementary ideas that align and embed human thriving with the natural world are developing in the minds of brilliant, new economic and philosophical thinkers who acknowledge indigenous wisdom and modern technologies. These thinkers are sharing their learning, mostly on an open source basis, with the rest of the world, enabling anyone to get on board to contribute and shape the ways in which we can live.
The human mind is an example of nature’s brilliance. We are capable of imagining and achieving limitless possibilities for a more meaningful existence. The skill of reimagining can be revived if it has been suppressed in any way, and that is where we find hope. Thankfully, there is a growing community of global practitioners engaging in practical work that enables the collective reimagining of our societal systems.
